    Lab 1 bgp connectivity verifcation

Is it necessary in this lab for all internal routers to have connectivity to all backbone learned routes? Because BB3 does not have 183.1.0.0/16 networks in the ip routing table. If so, we would have to advertise this network out from R3 to BB3. However this will conflict with the NAT section of the lab. It will lead to a routing loop.

Re: Lab 1 bgp connectivity verifcation

    Donsmitty,

I think what this task is asking for is that any host within 183.x.0.0/16 is able to be nat'ed and reach networks behind BB3.   If the network is nat'ed then BB3 will not have a specific route to the 183.x.0.0/16 networks.   What I would do is create a ACL that matched the 183.x.0.0/16 network and allow that to be nat'ed.  I think the task is more worked to reachability rather than what is in BB3 routing table.     For this task and this lab I personally would worry about reachablity rather than BB3 routing table.  In the real lab that is all that matters b/c you can't see the routing table of the BB routers.  I have not looked at the solution for this task, but I think that is the goal of the question.  This is just my 2 cents.
