I would like to know if someone is using IE dynamips workbook IEWB-RS-DYN Version 4.1 to exchange some informations, because I´m having some strange problems on Lab 1:
My Platform:
Processor: Intel Dual-Core Xeon 3040 (1.87GHz/1066)
Cache Processor L2: 2MB
Memóry: 2GB
System Op: Windows 2003 Server
I choose windows to run dynamips bacause in my opinion is easiest to configure and for this hardware accoding with IBM paper is homologated with widonws 2003 Server and I don´t wanna waste time with dynamips complex configurations. I install and configured dynamips according with IE dynamips class on demand and the configuration and instalation works as expected and after some configuration basic tests it seems that everything it was working.
Lab 1:
After loaded the initial configuration of Lab 1 and start lab steps, after finished step 1.2 (trunking) on the solition guide is mentioned to test the ip connectivity and to my surprise the connection between R2 and SW2 on Vlan 28 not works anymore and after a troubleshooting the status is if I shut down the trunks interfaces of SW2 the ping between R2 and SW2 on Vlan 28 works. To me this don´t makes sense and after unload the Lab 1 configuration and configure aintervlan routing by myself on the 4 switches with different Vlans and using some routers as Vlans clients the ping works as expected.
I´ve talked with some friends and some of then told me that the problem is the windows and others told that the problem is dynagen, and me, I just trying to study using the dynamips and IE dynamips wookbooks.
