    2.2 ISIS

    Hi,

    These prefiexes should appear as internal ISIS routes within their respective routing domain.

    If I configure on R9 redistirbute connected on R1 will shown:

    Rack1R1#sh ip route 24.1.9.9
    Routing entry for 24.1.9.9/32
      Known via "isis", distance 115, metric 10, type level-2
      Redistributing via isis
      Last update from 24.1.19.9 on ATM4/0, 00:00:11 ago
      Routing Descriptor Blocks:
      * 24.1.19.9, from 24.1.19.9, via ATM4/0
          Route metric is 10, traffic share count is 1

    If I configure on R9 passive-interface, result on R1 will be the same. Am I suppose to be expected as an external routes? BTW does ISIS have external route kind of?

    Thanks in advance.

    Re: 2.2 ISIS

    when you did redist you can tag them as internal. But i understand what you saying. I did the same thing and did not notice any difference in my routes via the passive interface command.
