    VOIP

    Hello

     

    I  am currently doing CCNA VOICE, I have lab routers of which one is running CME with FXS and FXO port plus T1. While connectiong IP phones 7960 to my POE switch 3524, the phones just hangs on startup at "CONFIGURING IP". I followed the steps required to setup DHCP and still I am getting the same problem. Kindly advice.

    Hello Ahmed,
     
     
    Make sure you have configured the voice vlan and DHCP server.

    Hello Joshua

     

    Thanks for the reply, I was wondering is it possible to set the manual ip address to the phones. While the message was still "CONFIGURING IP" in hang state, I tried to press the setting button but nothing seems to work.

    To unlock the settings and edit the configuration press **# (star star pound).
