    Lab Grading

    Hi team,

Might sound like a stupid quesiton, but am just wondering if CCIE labs are going to be graded as they are left by candidates or there would be a reload anywhere in the path between my "finish" and proctor's login.

    Cheers,

    K.

    Re: Lab Grading

The rumor is that they are not reloaded which I would guess is correct as my lab was graded in about 3 hours.  Obviously during a power outage or a regrade your config should be capable of surviving a reload.  Things to think about would be router-id's for OSPF, BGP, also EIGRP in the case you are running anycast with the same IP address on loopbacks of multiple routers.

I think regardless of whether they reload or not, you should reload all your equipment to and verify nothing has changed.

    Better safe that sorry ;)

    Hi Kami,

It will depend on when they get marked. Generally this is streight away, sometimes it is not. You must work on the assumption that it will be. I reloaded at lunchtime (then my first job back was to re-verify everything), and then when I'd finished the first run thought the paper. Again, you then need to re-verify it all..

Any config you do should assume that it will be reloaded, so make sure your OSPF DR's are clearly defined with priority (and non-DR's set to priority 0 etc) and as apd123 said have all your router-id's set..

    Cheers

    Dan
